A burglar broke into a church to both steal and repent. Apparently, the incident took place in Waterbury, Connecticut where an identified man broke into Mount Olive AME Zion Church to steal.
Police reports indicate that the man was able to make away with over $3,000 worth of equipment. And that’s not all.
The burglar was so concerned that he felt so guilty of his actions. Since, thou shalt not steal, the man decided to leave a note behind reading “Pray 4 ME!! Sorry brothers. Save me.”
The man signed off the letter by drawing a sad faced emoji. We’ll he knew he guilty by stealing from the House of God.
Apparently, members of the church heeded to the man’s request and made a small congregation to pray for him.
The burglar in action
Sadly, his prayers might earn him forgiveness from church members but not freedom from jail.
The Waterbury Police Department have so far released CCTV footage showing the incidence taking place in the wee hours of the morning.
The man is seen from the footage stealing microphones, monitors, and cameras used for church service.
With the footage making way to the local TV station WVIT-TV, police are now calling out on any member of the public that can recognize his face to report him.
Since church members have already forgiven and prayed for him, don’t you think the police should follow suit too?
